Genshin Impact 5★ Hydro Catalyst Support
Build notes
Hymn of the Maelstrom is her signature and the first pick, with Jadefall's Splendor and Everlasting Moonglow the five-star alternatives. Tome of the Eternal Flow, Prototype Amber, Waveriding Whirl and Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers all work at four stars.
2PC HP% Combinations: Option for non ATK scaling teams like Mizuki and Neuvillette, helping maximize the value of her quills.
With strong carries like Skirk or Vesna, Vodyanitsa doesn’t want any other stat than HP to maximize her quills and healing. With weaker carries, where using her Burst isn’t a DPS loss, having CRIT substats is not wasted. Vodyanitsa’s Burst is often not worthwhile and thus ER is not needed. It is occasionally used when available with weaker carries, especially with Hydro DPS characters where her ER requirements are minimal regardless.
#1
Level = Skill
Max first
Almost all of Vodyanitsa’s kit is in her Skill and passives, making maximizing them being the foremost priority. Her Burst can be considered if she is supporting weaker Hydro carries, but often goes unused in her best teams.
In most of her best teams, Vodyanitsa simply uses her Skill before swapping. If holding Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers, she should do this immediately before the main DPS hits the field. When supporting weaker Hydro carries, or if there is time to kill in the rotation with nothing better to fill it, Vodyanitsa can also opt to use her Burst if available.
Rotation and combos from the prydwen.gg guide, rephrased
Waters in Full Splendor
Each time Vodyanitsa performs healing, the ATK of all nearby party members is also increased by 1% of her Max HP for 5s.
Echoes That Pierce the Snow
When the Horn of Spring's Call from the Elemental Skill color=#FFD780FF>Rechitativ: Sonorous Dawn attacks the opponent, Vodyanitsa gains the "Two Voices in Black and White" effect which increases the CRIT DMG from Hydro DMG and Cryo DMG dealt by the currently active party member by 50% for 5s. If there is a Wandering Vortex present on the field or in the 5s after a Wandering Vortex explodes, the effect changes to: increases the CRIT DMG from Stellar Swirl reaction DMG caused by the currently active party member by 60% for 5s. Additionally, the Elemental Skill Rechitativ: Sonorous Dawn is enhanced as follows: the duration of the Song of Ages Past effect is extended by 9s.
Neverending Song of Revelry
The Constellation Echoes That Pierce the Snow is enhanced as follows: "Two Voices in Black and White" now applies to all nearby party members. Additionally, while the Song of Ages Past effect is active, Stellar Swirl reaction DMG dealt by nearby party members is elevated by 30% while Hydro DMG and Cryo DMG dealt are increased by 60%.
C1 and C2 both scale what her Elemental Skill already does for the party; C6 is the ceiling and the reason to keep pulling. Every constellation Vodyanitsa has, in full, is on the Constellations tab. This is only which of them are worth the wishes.
Vodyanitsa heals and buffs off HP while Vesna swirls the Cryo that Odette and the Cryo Traveler keep on the field: the full Snezhnaya line-up.
Skirk carries, Furina and Vodyanitsa supply Hydro and the HP-driven buffs both scale on, and Escoffier adds Cryo and a second heal.
Mizuki swirls the Cryo Traveler’s Cryo and Vodyanitsa’s Hydro, with Sucrose or Odette in the last slot depending on whether the team wants Elemental Mastery or more Cryo.
Vodyanitsa plays support in this Freeze team built around Kamisato Ayaka, with Escoffier (support) and Furina (sub DPS). Kamisato Ayaka and Escoffier give Cryo resonance (Shattering Ice: CRIT Rate +15% against Frozen or Cryo-affected enemies). Vodyanitsa and Furina give Hydro resonance (Soothing Water: Max HP +25%). Vodyanitsa, Escoffier and Furina heal.
Vodyanitsa plays support in this Swirl team built around Varka, with Prune (support) and Furina (sub DPS). Varka and Prune give Anemo resonance (Impetuous Winds: stamina use −15%, movement speed +10%, skill cooldowns −5%). Furina and Vodyanitsa give Hydro resonance (Soothing Water: Max HP +25%). Furina and Vodyanitsa heal.
Vodyanitsa plays support in this Stellar Swirl team built around Chasca, with Odette (support) and Nicole (support). Vodyanitsa heals, Nicole shields.
Genshin Impact 5★ Hydro Catalyst Support
Hymn of the Maelstrom tops the weapon ranking for Vodyanitsa, at 103.7% relative damage at R1 in the Skirk Team - Team column, ahead of Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers. That order is prydwen.gg's, measured in play and rephrased here; every row of it sits under Weapons below.
Run Tenacity of the Millelith on Vodyanitsa, with 2PC HP% Combinations behind it. Main stats are HP% sands, HP% goblet, HP% circlet. Roll substats in the order HP% > HP.
Talent priority is Level = Skill. The Elemental Burst costs 60 energy, which is what an Energy Recharge target has to clear.
The strongest team is Vodyanitsa, Vesna, Odette and Cryo Traveler, built around Vodyanitsa: Hydro · Stellar Swirl.

Normal Attack Sings an ancient song of the Water Imps, unleashing up to 4 strikes. This deals Hydro DMG to the opponent.

Reveals her true Water Imp form, dealing AoE Hydro DMG and gaining the Song of Ages Past effect: Over its duration, Vodyanitsa summons the ancient Horn of Spring's Call, periodically moving closer to an opponent in a swift movement to attack them, dealing Hydro DMG Opponents that have taken the above two types of DMG will also have their Hydro RES and Cryo RES lowered. Additionally, while the Song of Ages Past effect is active, the party's currently active character gains increased resistance to interruption and periodically regenerates HP based on Vodyanitsa's Max HP.

Leads a song of the Water Imps which lures its listeners to their doom. This deals AoE Hydro DMG to the opponent. When in the Song of Ages Past state, DMG dealt is further increased.
"According to legend, the song of the Water Imps can lead sailors to their ruin. But if everyone was lost to the water, where did this story come from?" "It's probably from a Domovoy sailor who was too short to go over the ship's railing, heh... Stop giving me that look, Odette! I was just joking!!!"

When the Elemental Skill Rechitativ: Sonorous Dawn is used, any Stellar Vortex that is on the field will turn into a Wandering Vortex instead, and if any nearby party member triggers a Stellar Swirl reaction while the Song of Ages Past effect is active, a Wandering Vortex would be formed instead of a Stellar Vortex. Generating or detonating a Wandering Vortex will also reduce nearby opponents' Anemo RES by 30% for 6s.

When the Elemental Skill Rechitativ: Sonorous Dawn is used, Vodyanitsa will also gain 25 stacks of Lead Vocal as well as 10 stacks of Chorus. The two effects above last 30s each, and the stack count is refreshed when the Elemental Skill is used.

Holding Elemental Skill when Vodyanitsa is out of combat will cause her to show her true Water Imp form and swim for up to 10s at the cost of Stamina, and because she is a Water Imp, she can also move on the water's surface as a matter of course. Vodyanitsa will exit her Water Imp form when the Elemental Skill is used again, when the state duration ends, or when all Stamina is used up. Additionally, while Vodyanitsa can swim more quickly, her Stamina consumption rate will also be higher.

Vodyanitsa, prima donna of the Korolevskiy Troupe, will sing in her very own voice instead of playing the musical instrument.

Vodyanitsa is a 5-star Hydro character from Snezhnaya who uses a catalyst, released in version 7.1.
Vodyanitsa's abilities multiply HP. That is read from the scaling rows on the Elemental Skill and Burst, not from the ability description, so it reflects what the game actually multiplies rather than what the text mentions.
Hymn of the Maelstrom is the closest fit on the data: it is a 5-star catalyst with HP as its ascension stat, and its passive acts on HP. Prototype Amber is the best 4-star alternative.
Tenacity of the Millelith. Its 2-piece bonus is: HP +20% Its 4-piece bonus is: When an Elemental Skill hits an opponent, the ATK of all nearby party members is increased by 20% and their Shield Strength is increased by 30% for 3s. This effect can be triggered once every 0.5s. This effect can still be triggered even when the character who is using this artifact set is not on the field.
