What time do events start and end?

A version opens on every server at the same moment, stated in UTC+8: the update time. Everything after that runs on each server’s own clock, so an event that closes at 14:59 closes at 14:59 server time in America, Europe and Asia, which are hours apart in real time. The times on each event page are the ones HoYoverse prints in the notice.

Where do these dates come from?

Each timed event is dated from HoYoverse’s own HoYoLAB notice, which the event page links to. The calendar is rebuilt when a notice is published or changed; an event that has been announced in the version preview but has no notice yet says so on its page.
