Work the pity numbers through and the ceiling is fixed: 14,400 primogems guarantees a 5-star on a character banner, and 28,800 guarantees the featured one even after losing the 50/50.
How these dates are known
Version 7.1 Phase 1 dates and times come from the wish-event pages for “When Warm Winds Cavort” and “Surging Ballad”: open from September 23, 2026 at 11:00 (UTC+8) on every server at once, close on October 13 at 17:59 on each server’s own clock.
Phase 2, the weapon banner and the version 7.2 reveals come from prydwen.gg’s banner schedule, which publishes only once a schedule is officially confirmed and never from leaks. Phase 2 times follow the game’s usual clock: 18:00 open and 14:59 close, server time.
Older banners are dated from each character’s release date in the game data, which is the day their debut banner opened. Nothing here is estimated: a banner without an announced date shows none.

HoYoverse has revealed Mitya (Electro) and Valeriy (Electro) for version 7.2. No banner phase or date has been announced for either yet; they move into the schedule above once one is.
HoYoverse publishes a 0.6% base rate and a 1.6% consolidated rate that folds in pity. The base rate is what applies on any single pull before pity engages; the consolidated rate is the average across a full 90-pull cycle. Neither is the rate you experience at pull 80, which is far higher.
Around pull 74 on character and standard banners, and around pull 63 on the weapon banner. HoYoverse has never published these numbers. They come from community sampling of millions of pulls, and they have been consistent since version 1.0. Treat them as reliable but unofficial.
On a Character Event banner, a 5-star has a 50% chance of being the featured character. Losing that roll guarantees the featured character on your next 5-star. Capturing Radiance can also convert a loss into a win, under conditions HoYoverse states in the banner details.
Hard pity is 90 pulls on a character banner, and a pull costs 160 primogems, so the worst case for one 5-star is 14,400 primogems. Losing the 50/50 first doubles that ceiling to 180 pulls, or 28,800 primogems.
