Iansan main stats and substats

Sands
Energy Recharge / ATK%Meeting Iansan’s Energy Recharge requirements takes priority over other stats, while an ATK% Sands should be run otherwise to help with her buff.
Goblet
ATK%
Circlet
ATK% / CRIT RateWhen using Favonius Lance. As Iansan commonly does - CRIT Rate can be considered if otherwise unable to reliably trigger its passive.

Substat priority

  1. 1ERBest
  2. 2ATK%
  3. 3ATK

After meeting her Energy Recharge requirements, Iansan focuses almost exclusively on stacking ATK% to cap her buff. The cap is 690 ATK at talent Level 10 and 810 at talent Level 13, requiring Iansan to have 2556 ATK and 3000 ATK respectively to meet it when at above 42 Nightsoul points. She can continue to build ATK% after this to increase her buff even when below 42 Nightsoul points. If Favonius Lance is used, sufficient CRIT Rate should be run to consistently trigger its passive every rotation.

Energy Recharge targets

How much Energy Recharge Iansan needs to cast the Burst every rotation, by team and by weapon. Where a target is out of reach, the advice beside it says what to do instead.

Iansan talent priority

  1. #1

    Burst

    Max first

Iansan’s buff is tied to her Burst, and is thus the only talent worth maximizing when considering her poor personal damage.

Iansan rotation

EQ Combo

EQ

Iansan’s default combo at C2+, or at C0/C1 when paired with allies who can easily maintain her Nightsoul point generation and Iansan herself has sufficient ATK to reach her cap.

ECQ Combo

ECQ

Often used by C0/C1 Iansan to access the benefits of her first Ascension passive. Note that the Charged Attack can be accessed through the Normal Attack input.

ECQN1 Combo

ECQN1

If fighting an enemy with a permanent Hydro aura such as Tulpa and paired with a C6 Bennett, Iansan can trigger Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City for Pyro characters by fitting in a Normal Attack after her Burst.

Iansan's abilities multiply ATK. That is read from the scaling rows on the Elemental Skill and Burst, not from the ability description, so it reflects what the game actually multiplies rather than what the text mentions.

What is the best weapon for Iansan?

Symphonist of Scents is the closest fit on the data: it is a 5-star polearm with CRIT DMG as its ascension stat, and its passive acts on ATK. Lithic Spear is the best 4-star alternative.

Which artifact set should Iansan use?

Thundering Fury. Its 2-piece bonus is: Electro DMG Bonus +15% Its 4-piece bonus is: Increases the DMG caused by Overloaded, Electro-Charged, Superconduct, and Hyperbloom by 40%, the DMG Bonus conferred by Aggravate by 20%, and the DMG caused by Lunar-Charged and Stellar-Conduct by 20%. When Quicken or the aforementioned Elemental Reactions are triggered, Elemental Skill CD is decreased by 1s. Can only occur once every 0.8s.
