Genshin Impact 7.2 Banners and Every Rerun Up to 7.8: The Full Roadmap

Genshin Impact 7.2 opens with Mitya, a new 5-star Electro catalyst, beside a Furina rerun, then hands phase 2 to Zibai and Linnea. That much comes from the 7.2 beta. Everything after it, from Tsaritsa and Danica in 7.3 to Dainsleif in 7.8, is Nixo’s forecast, built on leaks and HoYoverse’s rerun habits, and this page says at every step which is which.

The table is the whole video in one place. The dates are not announced: they assume every version lasts 42 days, as 7.0 and 7.1 did (12 August to 23 September 2026), so each one starts on a Wednesday six weeks after the last. Only the 7.2 row rests on more than a forecast. Our banners page carries the live countdowns for what is confirmed.

Nixo is open about the slope of the confidence: 7.2 is “fully locked in” from the beta, 7.3 and 7.4 lean on leaks plus HoYoverse’s habits, and from 7.6 onwards the video calls it “our best shot”. Read the bottom half of the table as a bet with reasons, not a schedule.

Genshin 7.2 banners: Mitya debuts beside a Furina rerun

Phase 1 of Genshin 7.2 pairs Mitya, a new 5-star Electro catalyst, with a rerun of Furina; phase 2 brings back Zibai and Linnea. Nixo treats this row as settled: the drip marketing for Mitya went out a few days before the video, the 7.2 beta has been public for weeks, and the line-up has not moved since.

1:32 · Mitya’s official reveal, the art Nixo opens the 7.2 section on. The orbiting sigil is the Electro catalyst motif.

Our own schedule agrees on Mitya and adds a second name. prydwen.gg’s banners page, read on 2 October, lists Mitya and Valeriy, both Electro, as revealed for 7.2 with no phase or dates yet. Nixo does not mention Valeriy at all, which is consistent with a 4-star or a character held for a later phase. Until HoYoverse posts the banner notice, the banners page keeps both under “Revealed” rather than guessing a slot.

The rerun is the part people argued over. Some predicted Neuvillette as the Hydro rerun; Nixo calls Furina “the likely candidate” after what the video counts as a drought of about eight versions. For a team that already runs her, nothing changes: Furina’s best teams and her build stay as they are.

1:55 · The Furina rerun is the half of 7.2 phase 1 that the video expects to pull the most Primogems.

Phase 2 goes to two Geo characters, which is the pattern Nixo leans on throughout: HoYoverse “likes to package characters that work well with each other”. Some had claimed Varka for this slot; the video rules that out in favour of Zibai, a Geo sword 5-star who debuted in 6.3, and Linnea, a Geo bow 5-star who debuted in 6.5.

Genshin 7.3 banners: Tsaritsa and Danica in the same phase

7.3 is where the Cryo Archon arrives: Nixo puts Tsaritsa, a new 5-star Cryo bow user, and Danica, a new 5-star Electro polearm user, together in phase 1. Both names come from the game’s files rather than an announcement, so treat them as leaks until HoYoverse reveals them.

3:05 · The art the video uses for the two 7.3 newcomers. It is not the official reveal, which has not happened yet.

Two new 5-stars in one phase sounds backwards, and Nixo says so: spacing them out would be gentler on players. The video’s reading is that it is deliberate, because Tsaritsa and Danica “pair perfectly”, and putting both in phase 1 raises the pressure to pull.

Phase 2 is where the rerun arithmetic starts. Sandrone, a Cryo claymore 5-star, debuted in 6.7 and, by Nixo’s count, has not been back since; the video calls her “very popular” and “still very relevant”. Lohen, a Cryo polearm 5-star from 6.6, is the other likely first rerun.

3:17 · Sandrone, whose first rerun Nixo expects in 7.3 phase 2, after her 6.7 debut.

Rumours had Odette taking Lohen’s place. Nixo does not buy it for 7.3: Odette debuted in 7.0, so a 7.3 rerun would come only three versions later. 7.4 is the more likely return, when the 7.0 characters start coming back.

3:36 · Lohen, the second first rerun Nixo expects in 7.3 phase 2, after his 6.6 debut.

Genshin 7.4 banners: Lantern Rite, Zhongli and a new Pyro 5-star

7.4 should land on Lantern Rite, and Nixo expects a new 5-star Pyro woman with a Liyue theme in phase 1, beside a Zhongli rerun. The timing holds up on our own dates: a 42-day cadence puts 7.4 on 27 January 2027, ten days before the Lunar New Year on 6 February.

Nixo’s reasoning is the festival itself: HoYoverse has released a Liyue character for Lantern Rite every year, and Zhongli fits the theme. The video adds a rumour, not a confirmation: Zhongli is said to be due for “huge reworks”, which would make a phase 1 rerun more than a nostalgia banner. Until the 7.4 notes say so, his build stays on his current kit.

4:31 · Zhongli, whom Nixo expects beside the new Pyro 5-star in 7.4 phase 1.

Phase 2 is where the older Liyue cast comes in. Xianyun has not had a banner in a long time, by the video’s count, and is Nixo’s first pick. Varka could also slot in here if 7.2 skipped him. Odette’s return, held back from 7.3, lands in this patch too.

4:46 · Xianyun, the Liyue rerun Nixo considers most overdue for the 7.4 Lantern Rite.

Lantern Rite also tends to carry a Chronicled Wish, the banner that lets you pick a featured character from an older cast. Nixo lists Xiao, Ganyu, Hu Tao, Shenhe and Zhongli as the likely line-up.

Genshin 7.5 banners: when Vesna and Vodyanitsa come back

Nixo expects Vesna’s first rerun in 7.5 phase 1, beside a new 5-star, with Vodyanitsa and Nicole as the phase 2 reruns. The newcomer is the least known name on the roadmap: the auto captions write it as “Enjou”, the screen never prints it, and the video says only that the character has already appeared in the game’s lore.

The rerun gap is the argument. Vesna and Vodyanitsa debuted together in 7.1 phase 1 (23 September 2026), so a 7.5 return is four versions later, slightly faster than the usual first-rerun gap. Nixo finds it believable for premium units and points to HoYoverse rerunning strategic pairs such as Flins with Ineffa, and Skirk with Escoffier, which is exactly what 7.0 phase 2 and 7.1 phase 2 did.

5:56 · Vodyanitsa and Vesna, who debuted together in 7.1. Nixo sees them returning in the same patch.

If you skipped them in 7.1, the best Vesna teams page shows what the pair is built around: Odette and the Cryo Traveler feeding Stellar Swirl. Nicole may slide to 7.6 if Vodyanitsa takes the slot.

Genshin 7.6 banners: a new Dendro sword and Nahida

For 7.6 Nixo expects a new 5-star Dendro sword user in phase 1, possibly tied to a new Dendro and Cryo interaction, with Mitya and Nahida as the strongest rerun candidates. The name in the captions reads “Noy Noy”; it does not appear on screen, so it is not confirmed here either.

Mitya would be four versions old by then, the same gap as Vesna’s in 7.5. Nahida is what Nixo calls “the big legacy prediction”: overdue for a long time, and the rerun many players are saving for. Nicole is the fallback if 7.5 skipped her.

Genshin 7.7 banners: Tsaritsa’s first rerun

7.7 is Nixo’s pick for Tsaritsa’s first rerun, because Archons have rerun in the .7 patch of their region every time so far. Danica is likely beside her, in 7.7 or at the latest 7.8, to keep the pair together as in 7.3.

7:25 · The 7.7 newcomers are still silhouettes: Nixo declines to name them because it “would actually be wrong”.

The new 5-stars of 7.7 are the one thing the video refuses to name. Current leaks point to an unnamed woman with Electro and Cryo, and that is as far as Nixo goes. Nixo also sees a Mavuika rerun here: “adding an Archon in this phase makes a lot of sense”, and keeping Tsaritsa and Danica in the same patch repeats the team-package approach of 7.3.

If you plan around her, Mavuika’s build and the tier list are where to check whether she still earns the Primogems by then.

Genshin 7.8 banners: Dainsleif as the bridge to 8.0

Nixo calls 7.8 “the most insane patch” of Snezhnaya, because that is where Dainsleif is expected to become playable. He is from Khaenri’ah, and the video reads his release as the bridge into whatever region 8.0 opens.

8:31 · Dainsleif, the new 5-star Nixo places in 7.8. HoYoverse has not given a release version.

Around him, the video lists the first rerun of the 7.5 newcomer, the 7.4 Pyro 5-star’s first rerun in phase 2, and reruns from the Nod-Krai cast such as Columbina. Nixo stops short of naming more: past this point, “that would just be purely guessing”.

8:56 · Columbina, one of the Nod-Krai reruns the video lists as credible for 7.8.

The video’s thumbnail also shows a Pyro 5-star called Deluna. The name is never said in the video, so it is left out of the table above.

What to save Primogems for between 7.2 and 7.8

A guaranteed featured 5-star costs at most 180 wishes on the character banner: 90 to reach hard pity, and 90 more if the first one loses the 50/50. At 160 Primogems a wish, that is 28,800 Primogems for a sure copy from zero pity. The banners page has the published rates in full.

On Nixo’s roadmap the expensive stretch is 7.3: two new 5-stars in phase 1, then Sandrone and Lohen in phase 2. A player who wants Tsaritsa and has to choose has six weeks of 7.2 to bank Primogems, and the redeem codes page lists the free ones that are still live.

The reruns are where patience pays. Furina in 7.2 and Zhongli in 7.4 are on the roadmap with reasons, but none of the rerun picks after 7.2 is announced, and Nixo says plainly that confidence drops the further out the video goes.
